Obviously, a new door for this house had to maintain the same arched shape, but the homeowners decided to modernize the look with 3/4 length true divided lite glass. The glass is seeded (tiny bubbles in the glass) which adds interest to the clear glass and also provides a level of privacy. Seeded glass was a popular material used during the 1700s for lanterns and other types of glassware. The raised panel solid wood door is painted black. The photograph below shows the interior view of the door.
