Coped Wood Window Moulding Toronto
G1192
Many of Toronto’s older homes had interior trim and mouldings installed long before the invention of mitre-saws and power tools. They commonly joined window mouldings together by coping, or carving out the back of the vertical piece and overlapping it over the header. The surrounding backband moulding helped to hide any over-carving, and also strengthened the joint. We have reproduced this joinery method to stay true to the home’s character.
