Fixed Bathroom Window – Muskoka
4201
In the bathroom of this Muskoka cottage, a fixed window was installed to bring in natural light while keeping the space simple and uncluttered. Fixed windows are a great choice for bathrooms because they allow plenty of daylight to enter the room without interrupting the clean look of the wall or the surrounding finishes. In a cottage setting, they also help highlight the natural surroundings, letting in views of the trees and changing seasons while maintaining privacy.
For this project, the bathroom window was part of a larger window and door update throughout the cottage. We also installed the casement and direct set window combination that follows the vaulted ceiling in the main living space, along with the bi-folding patio doors that open the cottage up to the outdoors. Together, the windows and doors help create a bright, airy feel that fits perfectly with the relaxed Muskoka cottage lifestyle.
Small details like a well-placed bathroom window can make a space feel more open and comfortable, especially when it works together with the rest of the windows in the home.
If you’re planning a cottage renovation or new build and thinking about windows or doors, it’s always worth exploring options that bring in more natural light. We’re always happy to talk through ideas for your space.
