At Fieldstone Windows & Doors, we believe in the power of windows and doors to transform a home’s entire aesthetic and functionality. For this Aurora project—a main floor transformation of a charming bungalow—showcases how these elements can redefine a living space and breathe new life into a home.
We worked with interior designer Cynthia Soda, and her client sought to overhaul their bungalow’s main floor, aiming for a blend of modern elegance and timeless charm. They envisioned a space filled with light and character. We were thrilled to join forces on this transformative journey, knowing that our Canadian-made windows and doors would play an integral role in achieving their vision.
Central to this transformation was the installation of large picture windows. These windows replaced outdated structures, instantly opening the space to natural light and offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The new picture windows brightened the interiors and created an inviting atmosphere that blurs the line between the indoors and outdoors.
In the kitchen, a vibrant colour scheme became the heart of this transformation. Here, a beautifully positioned bay window was installed, enhancing the room’s lively atmosphere and providing a cozy nook that invites relaxation and conversation. The pop of colour in the kitchen, enhanced by the natural light pouring through the bay window, brought a fresh and energetic vibe to the space.
Each room on the main floor was thoughtfully designed to maximize functionality. The strategic placement of windows ensured ample light and ventilation, creating rooms that are as practical as they are beautiful. This attention to functionality is evident in every corner, ensuring that each space serves its purpose while contributing to the home’s overall aesthetic harmony.
