Black Vinyl Casement and Direct Set Window Combination – Muskoka
4201
This Muskoka cottage features a window combination designed to follow the shape of the vaulted ceiling while letting in as much natural light as possible. The lower casement windows provide fresh air when needed, while the direct set windows above complete the look and carry the glass line up to the peak. Together, they create a simple, balanced design that fits beautifully with the relaxed cottage setting.
From inside, the windows help frame the surrounding landscape, bringing the trees, sky, and seasonal views right into the space. It’s the kind of detail that makes a room feel brighter and more connected to the outdoors without taking away from the cozy feel that cottages are known for.
For this project, we also installed the cottage’s bi-folding patio doors, creating a wide opening that connects the interior living space with the outdoors. Paired with the new windows, the doors help the entire space feel open, bright, and connected to the natural Muskoka surroundings.
Projects like this are always interesting because every opening is a little different, especially in spaces with vaulted ceilings or unique rooflines. Finding the right window combination helps the architecture shine while keeping the design clean and uncluttered.
If you’re planning a cottage build or renovation and thinking about new windows, it’s worth exploring combinations like this that work with the structure of the space. Curious what might work for your home or cottage? Let’s talk about the possibilities.
