Tucked behind a Toronto home, this laneway suite was designed to feel bright, simple, and comfortable. To help bring in as much natural light as possible, we installed classic white vinyl sliding patio doors along with matching vinyl windows throughout the space. Together, they create a clean, cohesive look that helps the suite feel open and welcoming.

For this project, we worked alongside the team at Canvas General Contractors, who led the build of the laneway suite. Their vision focused on creating a functional secondary living space that still feels airy and connected to the outdoors. The large glass panels in the sliding doors make that connection easy, offering clear views and simple access to the outdoor area while letting sunlight pour inside.

The white vinyl frames were a natural choice for this type of space. They keep the design feeling light and uncluttered while blending easily with the rest of the interior finishes. Paired with the windows installed throughout the suite, the doors help create a consistent look from room to room while maximizing daylight.

Sliding doors are also a practical solution for smaller homes and laneway suites. Because they slide instead of swinging open, they save valuable floor space while still providing a wide opening to the outside.
