Markham Craftsman-Style Fiberglass Front Door Replacement
5063
This Markham homeowner reached out to us to replace an older front door that had seen better days. The original entry no longer suited the home’s style and wasn’t performing the way it should, so the goal was to install a new door that felt warmer, more welcoming, and built to last.
We replaced the existing door with a custom fiberglass Craftsman-style system that immediately changed the feel of the entry. The new setup includes a single inswing door with sidelites and a rectangular transom, giving the front of the home more presence without feeling overdone. The three-panel door design, finished with a subtle four-block dentil shelf, brings in classic detailing that works beautifully with the home’s architecture.
The door was stained in a rich Kenzie tone inside and out, creating a consistent, wood-inspired look without the maintenance concerns of real wood. It features three beveled glass sections with vertical SDL bars, while the sidelights and transom use clear flat glass with matching grilles to keep the overall design clean and balanced.
Choosing fiberglass made sense for this replacement. It offers strong insulation, holds its shape through temperature changes, and provides a tighter seal than the old door ever could. The multipoint locking system also improves security and day-to-day usability—something homeowners across Markham and the GTA appreciate.
The finished entry feels solid, inviting, and thoughtfully updated, giving the home a fresh first impression that will last for years.
