Steel Windows – Toronto
3573
We had the privilege of installing these exquisite steel windows in a historic Toronto home. The steel frames of these windows feature a thermal break that effectively separates the exterior and interior steel components. By implementing this thermal break, we prevent direct contact between the outside and inside steel, thereby minimizing the transfer of cold from the exterior to the interior.
To further enhance insulation, fiberglass, known for its low conductivity, is positioned between the exterior and interior steel. This strategic placement ensures that cold air is effectively blocked from reaching the interior steel. Additionally, the lead tape applied to the glass not only adds to the windows’ heritage aesthetic but also contributes to their overall appearance.
